Me, codes and women
Lately I have came up with this unusal quote in regard to my coding habits that most of my friends find it amusing or somehow funny, the quote is:
I write code not to solve problems but rather to woo women!
Many people think this quote came up while I was high or something but however it has quite a long history that I am about to tell. & I am going to tell the story for historical reasons.
Back in 2003 I was still a naive web developer, I used to own a useless crapy website that featured content scrambled and collected from many different places (it was at this domain name www.makme.net) & I showed it off to a girl I know (trying to impress her) and showed her how my crapy html website is so cool and she said:
OMG, your website is incridable but it would be much more cool if it had a chat room & a forum so people can interact with it, & u and me can have our own special chat room
and there was the begining of a new era, I figured out dynamic web pages is my upcoming game, after all web programming is not harder than Visual Basic 6 (I used to claim that I make the best software calculators in VB6)
I started reading, searching & learning in order to achieve that goal. I figured out that to do web programming I can either do CGI, ASP or PHP. For some reason PHP was a winner (I have sympathy for cool purpule elephants) and out came my first open source contribution in PHP which was simply a hit counter to count the number of page view on my website and published it on hotscripts.com.
I went back to the same girl to impress her that I now can do web programming & will be able to program all the stuff she suggested that I add to my website. I told her:
Behold, The makcount!!
http://www.hotscripts.com/listing/makcount/
she said yeah thats kinda cool but now what?
so I was like “Now What … I spent 3 month trying to achieve what u wnated and u tell me now what !!!”
however I tried to expalin that this is how chat rooms & forum are made to her but it seems that it did not work & I learned my lesson & would like to share the lessons with younger generations of developers.
Codes never impress women she was attracted to crapy shinny HTML more than to the real code

anyways I was 14 years old at the time & to me it was so cool to have a code listing in hotscrips.com
so for historical reasons only I reuploaded the makcount & updated the listing so behold the historical makcount
Download makcount

Thanks You caught my eye in order to concentrate on html , in fact the same mistake Hahaha
Wait for more………..
Nice one bro.. but what u said is true..
